Playstation 3 Customer Reviews

Playstation 3 Customer ReviewsPair this rocks! I definitely took a chance on these have not seen any previous reviews or ratings, but it was worth it. I wanted to try for a few weeks before writing a review. Moreover, this is my first product Sharkoon.

Along with the headset itself, includes

- Optical Cable
- "Control unit of sound" (your little black magic box where all cables run)
- Adapters PC (comes with 5.1 analog for those w / o optical pc), 360, PS3
-detachable boom mic (which is flex your preference)
- Power supply (single cable that splits the Food and headset separately SCU) ex.) You can still unplug the power SCU and still have power running to the headset alone. The power supply comes with heads swap. I believe this is if you go outside the country and want to use foreign markets.

It took me a little 'time to understand all these cards, settings, and wires (there are a lot of LAN.)

The Sound Control Unit (SCU) is where your optical power and headset connector 9-pin come together. You can also adjust the volume level here, but I usually just use the volume control attached to the headset cable. There is an analogue 5.1 output as another option for PC users without optical switch. With two 9-pin headphone jack, a second person with the same headset can also listen in two options include Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro Logic. There are two including setting called Time-Delay and Dynamic Range Control is on the SCU.

Both of these steps taken from the manual. Each setting can be enabled or disabled.

"Time-Delay - Time-Delay function allows to define a delay time to play the sound for each speaker. Thus, a large reproduction of the audio signal can be realized. Note that increasing the delay too much can lead to results unnatural. "

"The Dynamic Range Control - Dynamic Limits the dynamic range control, decreasing the level differences between loud and quiet passages in Dolby Digital 5.1 signal so the effect of loudness balancing.

Other interesting features include a volume control cable is attached to the headset. Logo X-Tatic the headset and also the attached light of the volume up. Looks good to me! The volume is given by several bright colors to adjust the volume - ranging from green (very low) to red (very top). The volume of sound from each speaker can be individually adjusted. So say you're sniping and you want to hear even more sounds behind you. You can "up" the volume of the rear speakers to do just that. Or you could try to get more "boom" sound. You can increase the bass volume, keeping the other speakers to their volume.
There is a switch to turn off your voice. You can not hear your own voice while talking, but I prefer that.Voice volume of other people can also be adjusted independently from the volume game. So when I hear a lobby full of annoying kids, down the voice volume and only "about" my game volume impressive. Bliss.

Comfort 5 / 5 - It took a night game to "break-in, so now it fits snugly. Good padding so that sits well in my head. The ear cups can also be tilted and rotated to fit your unique figure head (a big plus for me.) Can I wear them 4-5 hours easy.

Sound 05/05 - Amazing! Playing MW2 and GOW2 is a completely new experience now! Sounds I never knew existed in these games gave me an appreciation of our own! shooting distance, rustling bushes and grass around me, and even light rain can be heard. That said, 5.1 directionality add a new dimension to your game. For me, there is a clear distinction between firearms if it comes from the front, rear, left front, right rear, etc. Orme get so loud and clear. This keeps me more aware of my environment. Alive the awareness of the situation!

Price 4 / 5 - It 's great investment for me at $ 159.99, with free shipping from Amazon (the Amazon love ya!) I should have thought twice before I buy simply because price. Now that I look back on it, it was the right move.

Overall, this headset definitely meets my expectations. It looks good and has some surprisingly fresh. Perhaps if they could resolve the number of threads, but I think what we need to work on PC, 360 and PlayStation 3.

Good hunting!

Playstation 3 Customer ReviewsNice headset, but worth the price? - M. Brumelow - Atlanta, GA
I ordered the Xtatic Sharkoon after some 'research online. I was initially going to buy a surround sound system to play with my PlayStation 3. After examining this and the fact that my roommate might not appreciate my Call of Duty midnight "sessions boom, I decided to check the surround sound headphones. These vary greatly in price, and my budget was certainly low.

After a little 'web browsing and a lot of reading reviews, I came to Xtatic Sharkoon. Not much has been available online about it, as reviews go. I could not find many other 5.1 headset for the PS3, so I decided to make a bet.

The verdict: I like my headset. It 'really fun to use and really immerse myself in my first-person shooter like Call of Duty. I also like having the microphone, in contrast to 5.1 for a standard set of headphones. However, I do not think the performance justifies the price. I feel like a stereo headset only an indication Xtatic behind in terms of performance, such as Xtatic surround sound is not very big. It has some 'surround sound feel to it, but not what I had hoped. If I could go back, I paid more, or a surround sound speaker set (and irritated my roommate), or I would have paid less money for a nice stereo headphones. I do not believe that this headset works well enough to justify the price. I would also add that the Sharkoon has a nice tangle of cables to connect so that everything works correctly. This is not a deal breaker for me but for anyone obsessed with maintaining a clean environment, install cables without the mess, I do not think you want this headset.

One thing more. I noticed some nasty distortion when I play Guitar Hero World Tour This tends to occur during the loading screen when the crowd is encouraging. I had audio problems in CoD: MW, and MW2.
