Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Overview
The award-winning Gran Turismo franchise returns with its 5th installment, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, exclusively for PlayStation 3. With its signature realism and unrivaled physics, this highly anticipated precursor to Gran Turismo 5 continues to blur the line between simulation and reality.
"Prologue" is defined as an introductory or preceding event or development, and true to every letter, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue treats both long-time fans of the Gran Turismo franchise as well as those coming to it new, with a generous sampling of what they can expect to see in Gran Turismo 5 later in the year and further releases on the PS3.

Polyphony Digital is the developer of the Gran Turismo franchise, led by creator Kazunori Yamauchi. Polyphony Digital is known for pushing the limits of the PlayStation 3 hardware, and with its realistic graphics and physics, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue is no different. In addition to receiving CAD data from the auto manufacturers, they have taken thousands of photos to model each car (and track). As an example of the level of detail, a car in Gran Turismo 4 has the same number of polygons as a headlight in Gran Turismo 5: Prologue. Polyphony works even closer with the automotive industry to make sure that the cars look and drive just as they do in real life. In fact, Kazunori Yamauchi designed the on-board computer for the real Nissan GT-R. If you’re lucky to buy one when it releases, you will notice the Polyphony Digital logo when you start your car.

Playstation 3 Customer Reviews
Just when you thought GT4 was a big update, which among other things, then GT5is probably the closest thing to real driving, because the driving physics is almost in place, the machines are more sensitive to your output, and is damn good.
PlayStation 3 If you can dominate the Ferrari 599 for professional driving physics, you're a boss, trust me
The graphics and quality are amazing. However, I see myself as a negative point of the small number of circuits. Also, if you just want to play, not like crazy, you can not drive. Apart from this minor inconvenience, the game is perfect.
GT5 would be hoped that a full version. Instead it was a watered down version which apparently was about to be released within one year. One year has passed and we have a version after the prologue. Oh well ...
A quick note, the delivery was seamless, as I travel to meet a friend who collected this entry while on holiday in the United States. Exceed the expectations of the game, realism, precision are top notch.
A lot of people like to make the claim that its real as it gets, or that physics is "spot" and other absurd statements. Folks, none of Gran Turismo "games" should be called a simulator, which should be called advertising, but I think Test Drive name was already taken, so it could be called such. This is the game for those who love the beauty of cars most of them, such as sport or realism.
Ok, before I was hammered by the people, I know that is a sort of prologue demothis is just too excessive, just the whole series in general I'm talking about here. People like to argue that these cars handle like the real world, but its not true. If so, then the team would race car in practice there PlayStation 3 instead of using actual simulations such as rFactor and GTR-2. Both of these are in various forms in full motion simulator found throughout the world. Chances are, if you pay 50-10 dollars to have the chance to drive one of those moving plumberracing game in a real circuit, were fed by the same engine used for rFactor and GTR-2 games (although I have seen some of those who were not crappy). They are also used by some of the official teams real race, from GT to Formula One, practice and heating. Gran Turismo can not even leave a car flip over, no matter what you do, realistic sound now? How many people from errors overturned car, driving fast in real life on the highways last year alone? Its not that hardto turn a real car, I did 9yrs ago during the race a race amateur tourism. Also, there are a lot of real life racing maneuvers that can not be done in any game Gran Turismo. Even worse, they want to use the excuse of "licensing issues" for reasons of any damage so far (and in the full version of GT5 there will be lots of cars with no damage, and many without cockpit view, as stated by them). A $ 60 million and we do not even have the possibility of real racing rules, terrible AI drivers acting like you do not exist, adjustable seats (not real cars have those?) not cam dash (people do not drive .. from the back seat) and a lot of other things available for missing years in other, real their simulations. I'm really tired of people acting like its the last in the sim, when the only thing he has going for it is the list of cars. Yes, I have a lot of cars, which is nice, but when the rest of the game is so weak, what is the point, except for a cameracar museum?
Let GTR-2, which came out 5 years ago + for comparison. GTR-2 had realistic damage and the consequences of errors. The temperature of the tires, the air around / in the tires and road are taken into account. Wearing the wrong place on the exchange on move. The loss of downforce lost a wing and issues. Even the amount of fuel you have left the effects of weight and handling. None of this is used in Gran Turismo, and probably never will be, is still important Real racing. These are just some of the things that are not simulated in Gran Turismo games today, but was available for years in other sims companies from less than half the size of polyphony, and complete simulation games that can be recovered for less than the cost of the Prologue "demo". I do not know why I continue to have such a following of people claiming his "realistic". And the first ring and claim "they have to balance realism with the game", remember, there are supporting product is a "mortgage". It also says that right on the box as the tag line. Complaint is not simulate a sport and leave out half the sport .... Which brings me to ..
The sport of racing is exciting, speed, wrecks, drivers must tightrope walk to keep their cars very expensive and developed (and themselves), lives on the track is exciting and engaging (as many adrenaline Induction activities may be). The thing that makes all the dangerous sport exciting is the danger. If it were not dangerous to drive 160 mph +, then we would all do on the highway without care. Its the danger that the enormous possibilities that the smallest error at the wrong time could be the last one that gets the adrenaline and the fans on the edge of their seats. When you take the risk out, it takes a huge part of the excitement out. Tourism, if I win, I feel like I just learned how to avoid being met for a few laps, but GTR-2 for example: My first full race was a race of 82 laps Silverstone who came in eighth, but he felt more like an outcome that none of my gold in Tourism. About 20 laps, I had a small stroke with a cause opponent tried to pass a bad time, and after three laps due to pit HAD I damaged my left front brake, tire and shook itself out of balance, the impact , and I felt for the work, and force feedback. It cost me a lot 'of time since I had to pit and make it hard to drive with precision again but I needed new tires anyway so that only added a little 'time. That's what a simulation of the sport should be! GTR-2 also had cycles of night and day, and the change of time, while driving! Plus, the subject was boring or did not sell well enough is absurd. Millions tune in just to see real competition, and more than enough people buy hardcore sims like I said keep those companies alive and still making officially licensed racing games (GTR-3 isworks, and I can not wait).
Seriously, the anger could be if the majority of people who bought a product claiming to be a simulation of football or basketball, only to load the NBA Jam or NFL Blitz? Sure, they are general representations of sport, but nowhere near a simulation of them. If tourism did not claim to be a simulation, I lost a lot of my beef with them for this reason alone, as I just hate false advertising, and even worse, people are brainwashed by them. If GT5actually end up modeling including decent damage, and realistic racing rules, at least as an option for anyone who wants it, I'll be happy to pick it up. Seriously, how difficult it is to simply do a much better option if small companies can do these things with less than one twentieth of the budget and the asking price for a child?
In conclusion of this long period (I'm sorry) review Gran Turismo only get if your looking for exactly what it has to offer. If you want a real simulation of the sport Racing called, try one of these, rFactor, GTR-2, Live for Speed, The-Racing (expensive) or one of my favorites, Richard Burns Rally. RFactor, GTR-2, Richard Burns Rally, and all have huge amounts of free content for download, and huge following that still play online every day, and all 3 are over 4yrs old. When people are still playing and loving the same sim last year, regularly, you know its strong but when you can also race full seasons and win thousands of dollars in real money is ([...]),know its hardcore!
