Buzz! Quiz World is the second release of Sony's Buzz! quiz show franchise on the PlayStation 3 in the US market. Combining the best features from earlier versions of the game, along with new enhancements for play on PS3 including compatibility with new wireless controllers, 2-8 multiplayer support, downloadable quiz packs, PlayStation Eye support, user created quizzes and improved contestant customization, Buzz! Quiz World places players in the role of a contestant competing against others, in the over-the-top yet family-friendly, fictional game show, Buzz!, which is hosted by the equally over-the-top host, Buzz. The goal here is to accumulate as many points as possible through a series of rounds, to become the overall champion. As with earlier games in the series, each player has their own franchise specific controller/"buzzer", (not included in this game-only release), which consists of a large red button to ring in to answer questions/make selections and a variety of other color-coated buttons used for scrolling on-screen options, navigation, contestant customization, etc. One of the great features of Buzz! Quiz World is that it is designed to utilize earlier released wireless Buzz! buzzers. These take advantage of the PS3's USB connections via a dongle, each of which accommodates up to four wireless buzzers, ensuring that there is always room for another buzzer, up to the eight players that the game supports both locally and online. Rounds play out through a wide variety of modes, all of which are focused on fun multiplayer action and compromise both returning play options and those brand-new to the Buzz! franchise. The variety in these is designed to ensure that both casual players and serious quiz fans get maximum fun out of Buzz! Quiz World. We got this as a Christmas gift in the family. It 's so funny! Comes with 4 paddles and a wireless card that you need to insert the front of the PS3 console. This is the purpose for the set up. There is not much choice of avatars you can choose from a competitor, but those with the game are fun and funny. There are several choices of play, 6 I think, to be chosen so that the game is confusing and not stagnant. The only thing I was writing for applications is too small. In addition to this,If you are looking for a good family game, this is right there with some of the Wii games.

Fun game - sometimes selecting the parties can get messed up avatar, not real clear on this. The game itself is pretty funny tho, fun for a group of friends!

This version picks up where the last left off. Its not perfect, but it is more difficult than the first. The questions are not so straight forward that makes them more challenging. The end credits actually serve a purpose very funny.

I played the older version of buzz with my friends many times. We find this new version of buzz for being fun, we did not know about the new features, where the host will say his name and that there would be new types of games. I recommend it to anyone who has tried the first game buzz or anyone who has heard the buzz. It 'a blast!




Buy It - Great Family and Party Game - Wendi K. Mitchell -
We received this for Christmas and I played several times with 4 people. There are a lot of laughs and all of us (even our youngest player - 9 years) had a blast. My only complaint is that we could use more "Buzzers" and can not be purchased separately.
